Hello!
My name is Mitzy Rivas. I am Mexican-American, born and raised in Florida. Currently, I am a third-year student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, majoring in graphic design. My curiosity and enthusiasm in art and design has led me to explore various forms of craft. I am also a member of AIGA and my work has been exhibited in the 2021 AIGA Create and Curate Design Show. In 2019, I contributed to a mural with my peers at Oasis High School. I am formerly certified in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, which I achieved during my high school career.

Gouache, ink, and photography are some of the mediums that feel electrifying to work with. Printmaking and collage are breathtaking techniques that make me eager to work with. Recently, I have been adventuring into website design and motion graphics. As of lately, I am refining my work into an aesthetic of bold colours and humour. When not working on projects, you can find me working elbow-deep in clay, pricking my fingers while embroidering, or stuttering over words when learning languages. I am also working on claiming my title as the boss since owning a special-needs kitten. Hard work, indeed.
